My Story

I’ve spent most of my life travelling around the world. Either through my parents’ job growing up, my own job in my 20’s, or now pretty much every holiday opportunity I get! What excites me the most is exploring a new country’s culture, meeting new people and of course, the food.

Which brings me to Atlas. I’ve always loved the routine of lighting a candle in my living room each evening. There’s nothing more comforting than the flickering flame and gorgeous scent of a candle drifting through the room. However it’s bothered me how ludicrously expensive even standard candles can be.

I’ve been inspired to create a brand that is all about luxurious, unique and natural candles that won’t break the bank (and will look fabulous on the coffee table too).

I started this venture during the 2020 lockdown (s!). I wanted to re-create the memories of past travel experiences - whether cities, beaches, spas or forests - through the power of scent. To provide a way to relax, while being transported somewhere new. (And there’s no doubt we all deserve a bit of an escape during this Covid-19 pandemic, even if it’s through our imagination).

I’m a big fan of clean, minimal design, and soft, pastel colours. I’m also a huge advocate for buying only sustainable and eco-friendly products. So it was clear that every element of Atlas candles would either be recyclable or recycled.

I’ve had huge amounts of fun creating, designing and photographing the Atlas journey. It’s definitely kept me busy trialling label designs, eco-packaging styles, scent throws, melt pools, and most importantly, combining essential oils to create a perfectly unique blend for each candle.

I truly hope these candles can bring you as much joy as they have done for me creating them.
