BANGKOK

Have you ever been to a Thai spa in Bangkok?

An aromatherapy massage at a Thai spa is my true happy place. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with the calming scents of bergamot, ylang ylang and lime. Any life pressures or stresses are instantly lifted off your shoulders. It’s time only for you. A time to escape and just let yourself totally relax.

Everyone deserves a luxurious spa pamper session once in a while (at least once a month if you ask me).

I wanted to re-create the many spa experiences that I had while living in Bangkok for several years. You shouldn’t have to fly to Bangkok to get yourself some quality TLC. I hope you can light the BANGKOK candle and allow your senses to transport you there.

Travel tips

You can easily get overwhelmed with the number of spas to choose from in Bangkok.

For total luxury, book yourself in to the Siam Kempinski Hotel spa within the popular Siam area. Or the globally-known Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

A more budget-friendly but excellent-quality option is one of the most popular spa chains in Bangkok (and my favourite go-to), Health Land. There are several to choose from depending on where you’re based, such as Ekamai, Asok and Sathorn. I highly recommend getting the one hour reflexology massage. Heaven.

P.s. Apart from spas, the vibrant city of Bangkok is the perfect destination for city-lovers. Stunning temples, bustling markets and some of the best street food you’ll ever eat, to name a few.
